Ms. Johnston has traveled with a variety of groups around the world over the past 40 years. She has found it far less expensive, and more satisfying, to travel on her own instead of participating in most package deals. In doing so, she has attended several private language academies in Rome, Sicily, and elsewhere in Italy over the past five years.

She has arranged two programs in Rome. One is a one to two week program available twice yearly with a school in Rome, and includes the option of two tours of a neighborhood in Rome with her. The second consists of individual tutoring with Professor Mancini, available year-round except for holidays and the annual August vacation. Ms. Johnston found him both competent and highly intuitive. His fee of 20 Euros per academic hour compares favorably with the cost of private instruction at private schools.
